Resume
Until I post a proper resume, here are the basics:
Walgreen Co. 1984 — 1997
I worked in the advertising department in a variety of roles, from keyline and paste-up artist to layout artist, to package designer. During that time, I designed newspaper ads & circulars, in-store signage and as mentioned, packaging.
Toward the end of my career there, I was working on their first website. Looking to get more involved in the design of the world wide web, I left on good terms to take the position of webmaster at Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. 1997 — 2005
Starting as the sole webmaster for this global company, I eventually was in charge of a team of web professionals that were responsible for the design and maintenance of the corporate & U.S. sites as well as the U.S. intranet site. I personally designed one version of the corporate site (look and feel, anyway) and was involved with the design of its current website.
I left on good terms to stretch my design legs and work on my own after receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package in 2004.
Independent Graphic Artist 2005 — Present
Righ now I'm doing freelance print and web design. Samples of some of my work are on these pages. Though I've been on my own for a few years, I had done some work on the side during my corporate stints. Did I mention that I was nominated for a Grammy for Best Recording Package? It was for my work on Cathy Richardson's "The Road to Bliss" album. Yes, I went to the Grammys and rubbed elbows with the music industry elite.
Although I love working on my own, I miss working with other creative professionals. Therefore, I'm definitely interested in contract work or joining the right team. If you have a need for a full-time, part-time artist or have a project for me, please let me know:
